Junior Structural Engineer

Duties

• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of buildings and special structures and preparation of structural construction documents. Design small projects with guidance and review by a Senior Engineer. Design and/or detail portions of larger and more complex projects.
• Field inspection of reinforced concrete and structural steel construction.
• Assist in structural investigations of damaged and deteriorated structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of one year of building design experience
• Engineer In Training registration
• Good communication skills

Structural Engineer

Duties

• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of buildings and special structures and preparation of structural construction documents. Design medium-sized projects with review by a Senior Engineer or Principal. Design significant portions of larger and more complex projects.
• Field inspection of reinforced concrete and structural steel construction.
• Perform structural investigations of damaged and deteriorated structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of three years of building design experience
• Engineer In Training or Professional Engineer registration
• Good communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices
• Complete command of analysis and design
• Analysis and design software proficiency
• Familiarity with current codes
